We are just back from the Lakeland Dressage Association’s Spring Fling Show, and once again have some incredible news to report.   Attending this show were Alex Perry and Snickers, Andrea Knapp and Rosie, and Melody Schubert with R&R Ranch’s Olympic Knight.  Alex made the move permanently to training level and rode T1 and T2.  Her [...]

Congratulations to Andrea on purchasing her first horse!

We have a new horse at the barn and a proud new owner!   Andrea has purchased her first horse, a 10 year old Thoroughbred named “Rosie” (registered name Iron Sneakers).  Rosie is an ex-racehorse with eventing training, but we will be using her for dressage and hunter shows.  Not only will Andrea be riding her, [...]

What a weekend for our dressage riders!

The weekend before last weekend I had two students honored at the year end awards banquet for the Lakeland Dressage Association. If this past weekend was any indication, they are going to have to order more awards for my students!  I had three junior riders at the LDA schooling show on February 7th, and they [...]

We like to welcome three new students to R&R Ranch. Alex, Kaitlyn, and Kelsey all had their first riding lessons last week.  Alex, a good friend of Courtney S’s, has some riding experience on western horses at another farm and  tested out our farm over Christmas break camp. She’s anxious to learn English, and is [...]

The new year starts off with a bang  for one of our students.  Andrea Kestran just joined our split lease program and will be leasing Nation.   Nation, our handsome paint, rides hunter under saddle, does light jumping, and is a champ on trails.  This is Andrea’s first lease, and we know that Nation will [...]

New additions welcomed to the farm

We have several new additions to the ranch including the two new pigs (mentioned in a previous post). This week we received an adorable baby goat to join Petunia in her pen.

At first, Petunia was concerned about her status as “cutest animal ever”, but she has since realized that the goat is a blast to [...]
